Creative Operations
Creative operations is the execution layer of Whetstone's management practice: session coordination, release planning, sync pitching, and marketing rollout. It is the machinery that turns creative direction into finished, released, and promoted records.
What It Covers
- Session coordination. Booking rooms, aligning schedules, and making sure the right collaborators are in the right sessions with clear splits agreed before anyone records.
- Release planning. Timelines from final master to release day: distribution, metadata, registrations, and assets, all sequenced so nothing blocks the date.
- Sync pitching. Getting instrumental versions, stems, and clean edits prepared, then pitching records for film, TV, ads, and games.
- Marketing rollout. Coordinating announcement, content, playlist pitching, and post-release follow-through.
Why It Exists as a Service
Records die in the gap between "finished in the session" and "out in the world." A great song with unregistered splits, missing metadata, or no rollout plan earns nothing. This practice exists so our clients' records cross that gap every time, with the paperwork and the promotion handled in the same motion.
How to Access It
Creative operations is included for management clients and folded into larger A&R consulting engagements. For a standalone release or sync campaign, get in touch and we will scope it.
